I have a one year old DS Light and it will not turn on. One day it was working fine the next nothing. I tried to charge it and as I was inserting the power cord the orange charge indicator turned on for about a second and then turned off. Regardless I let it charge overnight with no change. I purchased a new battery and no change in the above. I took a known working battery out of another DS Light and still no change. Any suggestions. I have 2 GBA SP's, 1 GBA DS and 2 GBA DS Light and this is the first problem I have had.

you probably have a dead battery and it will need to be replaced. you can buy one on eBay and do it yourself or you can bring it to a repair store to get it fixed
you will need to replace the upper lcd screen, when the power light came off it caused the top and bottom shell to shift back and forth causing the lcd ribbon to become damaged, the flash you see is the power from the botton trying to make it's way to the top, send to ebay ed-kar-3 for $38.00 to fix
When I hooked up my DS with the charger the orange light would flicker for only a few seconds then turn off.
I found out that if you KEEP THE DS ON WHILE HOOKED UP the DS will charge. Although, because you are playing/DS is on the charging will go extremely slowly.
Best option, and what I did, was was just return/exchange it. I just did that today.
