I can't figure out how to remove the date that seems to show up on the bottom right of all my photographs even when printed. There is an answer to a similar question on this website but I have found it unhelpful. Thank you!
SOURCE: Show the Date stamp on the picture
One reason why the date stamp is not showing would be that you have not set the system date/time. The date/time resets everytime you take out the battery. Please go to this link and download the userguide... http://alpha02u.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?SV=WWUCA900 file name : PSS500IXUS500CUG-EN.pdf ...Go to page 26 which will tell you how to set the date/time and then go to page 109,113 for the date/time to be displayed on the photographs. Please tell me if this helps

Set the resolution to PostageCard (1600x1200).
Many of these cameras have only ONE RESOLUTION setting which allows you to have a date/ date and time stamp on the file, which will print on the viewed or printed photo.
How to do it:
Turn the camera on M mode.
Use the func. set.
go down the menu to the resolution settings. (on the bottom of menu).
Pick only the postagecard (1600x1200) setting.
I also was like you, and had an awful time with a camera I was fixing. I then looked it up on the Net and found an online user manual for the Canon SD 500, which should be basically the same.
SOURCE: HOW TO DISPLAY DATE AND TIME
I checked the manuals and I believe that the function you want is not available within the camera menus. The date, time, and lots of other information is included within each file that holds individual pictures. The software you use to view and edit pictures should show the information to you and may allow you to manually add the date to the picture. I use Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac) and it will allow me to put the date and time on a picture. You might consider adding the date and time to the name of the picture file if you want a quick reference to the date and time
