I have tried playing various dvd's in this machine sometimes i get sound sometimes i do not. Do not get a picture. When I press the play button it saysd "seq play" and then a few seconds later says "stop". It is only been used a couple of times and unfortunately i have lost the instruction booklet. Please help

You can call Zenith customer service and give them the model number of the DVD player and tell them the problem you are having with intermittent operation of the player. They will be able to help you get service for the problem.. I hope this information helps you with your problem

try cleaning the lens as you would with you previously owen DVD player. Also make sure the disks are clean. If that doesn't work, try resetting the machine by pressing and holding BOTH the stop and power buttons for about 10-15 seconds.

try this
*********RESET THE DVD PLAYER BACK TO THE DEFAULT SETTING*********
Make sure you do not have a disk in the tray. Using the DVD player remote control:
1) Press the "Setup" button.
2) On the "Right" arrow, press it three times and then press the "Play" button.
3) On the "Down" arrow, press it two times.
4) On the "Right" arrow, press it once, and then press the "Play" button.
5) Press the Setup button.
*The default setting will take affect as soon as you press the setup button (step 5).

Playing MPEG's

* The MPEG Playback function works in M. PLAY mode only. * You can play moving picture images on the Memory Card. * To hear sound during MPEG4 playback, you must hook up to a PC and listen to the PC's speaker. (You cannot hear it from the speaker on the camcorder or a TV) 1. Set the mode switch to MEMORY CARD position. 2. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode. 3. Press the MENU button and turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY. 4. Press the ENTER button to enter sub-menu. 5. Use the MENU DIAL to select MPEG4 from the sub-menu. (M. PLAY SELECT) 6. To exit the menu, push the MENU button. 7. Using the (FWD) and (REV) buttons, search for the moving picture that you want to playback. 8. Press the PLAY/STILL button. The moving pictures recorded on the MEMORY CARD begin playing back.
