Sonyericson v580i i am having problems installing the pc suite on my windows vista. On instalation i was informed that my comp was not suitable. Any help would be welcome. boyle

uninstall again your pc studio, restart you laptop and reinstall your pc suite, but before you do install it, try to do this trick, right click the pc studio, select properties, then select run in compatability mode of xp and vista, then select run as administrator, select apply and ok. it will install, there are times that windows 7 will inform you that the program not installed, you will be having two options, select, '' install the program with recommended settings''.

once installed, connect your phone to your laptop, select settings on you pc suite, select connections, select usb, this will command the pc suite to search for phones attached to usb ports. once searched, it will install your phone automatically and will look for appropriate device drivers for your phone through your pc suite, once connected you are set.

if this doesn't fix your problem, try updating you device through device manager, direct your device installation by browsing the folder to your samsung pc suite and unchecking the automatically install the best driver and checking the box for include the drivers on this folder.

They have not issued a Vista driver but you probally can use the XP one and if having trouble run in capability mode, right click on exe file and set.

I have just come off the phone to canon and they advised me that they have and will not have for some time any drivers for any Canon product that is running with Windows 7, which i think sucks... a huge company such as Canon and they are wayyy behind on technoligy, i told them i have installed Windows 7 and they told me im better off going back to XP which i will do, i was also informed that they are expecting Microsoft to release the driver for my MP600 to run on Vista 64 bit. omg that is old now and who wants a 64 bit pc anyway lol more trouble than they are worth but i guess Canon will eventually have the drivers i need one day but they are very much on the back seat at the moment.

YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSON OF PC SUIT SOFTWARE FROM WWW.SONYERICSSON.COM
IF THE PROBLEM EXISTS JUST UN-INSTALL YOUR PC SUIT FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND THE RE-INSTALL AGAIN.
IF STILL THE PROBLEM EXISTS FINALLY REINSTALL WINDOWS VISTS FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND THEN INSTALL PC SUIT AGAIN ON YOUR COMPUTER. IT WILL CONFIRMLY SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. DONT WORRY

(i) 1.CABLE : INSTAL DRIVERS FOR THE CABLE AND LG PC SUITE,RESTART PC THEN CONNECT DATA CABLE BEDWEEN PC AND MOBILE.IT,S ORIGINAL CABLE DRIVERS ARE AUTOMATICALY INSTALED,ORDINARY CABLE MANUALLY INSTAL DRIVERS.
2.THEN FOLLOW TO CONNECT INTERNET:

You should first install and run a program such as PC Wizard. Look for all the information about the sound chip. then go to driver-downloads.com and hunt for your sound driver.

You might have to get a PC Suite cleaner to remove all the files from Sony Ericsson.
Then reinstall the PC Suite, make sure it 's the correct one for your model phone.
