Question about Compaq Presario SR1030NX (DW256A#ABA) PC Desktop

Graphic card I recently bought a video game (Civilization IV) but although the intro movie (although not fluently) runs as well as the menu graphics are fine, as soon as the game starts the entire background on the monitor is black. It seems to me that the graphic card initially installed on the computer is sufficient (anyway the game was launched in the same year as I bought the computer) to the minimum graphic card requirements of 64-MB with Hardware T&L (GeForce 2/Radeon 7500 or better). Sounds are fine. Thanks for your support.

The pc you are using probably has onboard video and not a seperate dedicated AGP graphics card, which needs atleast 64MB of memory and T & L support, so check the card before you buy, if you already have an AGP card fitted it may not support T & L

I have problem with playing GTA IV,my problem is that i have good pc and game works only on 25-35 fps but i think that my pc can run this game better. . here is conf: Mainboard MSI 760GM P21...

Hi, This may seem good spec PC to you but the problem is the memory you really need to have 16-GB memory. The game your playing is also graphics heavy if you double your memory then you will run it fine. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.

Golden fingers of graphic cards are broken (URGENT)

It can be a lot of things, First what's is your system specs (CPU,Graphic card,HDD), Second What's is your power supply (how many watts). If your graphic card is too powerfull for your power supply the graphic card will burn.

For checking your system specs you can download cpuid-z or go to this website to know if your computer can run the game

Flickers when playing Games

You could try to find a new driver for your graphics card or even there may be a patch for your game available. That video card should be fine for that game though.

Devil May Cry 4 PC loads intro OK but freezes at game startup

To check the video card do this:
Go to Control Panel then Device Manager, then click on Display adapters. This will tell you what it is. According to the games Minimum Requirements, you need at least a Video Memory: 256 MB (nVidia GeForce 6600 SM3 Required).

If your computer runs anything entitled INTEGRATED video graphics, it will not be able to handle the game. That is a problem with buying PC games, they are very demanding at times and require a reasonable video card to run.
If you don't have a good video card, you can try and return the game and explain what happened.
Hope this helps you out. Please don't forget to rate this solution :)

No signal on HDTV

Your graphics card is probably too old to support HDTV signal (720p, 1080p)

Can't get my dual graphics cards to work

1. Turn all of your 3D settings to 4x.
2. Go to BIOS and turn your AGP aperture size to 256 MB
3. Increase the virtual memory size to the double of the physical system memory (set it to 1024 MB in case of 512 MB system memory, Control Panel \ System \ Advanced \ Performance - Settings \ Advanced \ Virtual Memory - Change, select the hard drive, choose Custom, and enter into both fields 1024, then Set, OK and reboot)
4. Lower the hardware acceleration in Windows with one stop (Control Panel \ Display \ Settings \ Advanced \ Troubleshoot \ Hardware Acceleration).

If you still not be able to fix it, I suggest you to go to this site http://www.foxpop.com/imre/2005/vpurecover/vpurecover.html
Yuo might want to use ATI's driver too.

Game freezes

Could be settings - have you got them maxxed out ? Can your rig handle the game, Doom 3 will run on a slow machine, but only gives about 1 frame a minute, instead of 60 frames per second. It could also be your PC is unable to cope with the power requirements of the new card or it is getting too hot as their is insufficient airflow in your case.
