I am experiencing problems with my Ikea whirlpool dishwasher. When I start it it runs like normal for about 15 minutes, then it just stops (the power lamp is still lighted). This happends on all programs.
When I open it there is hot water in the machine. The soap container has emptied also. I suspect that it is a problem with draining the water, because there are no problems when filling the machine with water. Is it correct that water is supposed to be drained about 15 mins. into a program?
I have checked and cleaned the filters and there are no visible objects blocking the flow of water. Could it be a problem with the pump that is supposed to drain the water? Would that scenario be causing similar symptoms?

Re:
Sometimes machines stop to heat the water. does your machine ever start again? if it does not start on its own, it could be a time issue, or a heater element issue. if it calls for heat and it never heats, it will never run. if it ever drains, then the issue is not the pump. its a logic board. good luck mark

Hi Ray.
i found this out.
The reason for the dishwasher to stop mid cycle is that the thermal fuse is shorting out because it is either fouled, dirty, broken, or loosely connected. If your dishwasher is older, the thermal fuse is used as a safety switch to stop the motor and circuit board when the dishwasher gets too hot.

Sounds like the timer module is going bad. Might be getting moisture on contacts. That would explain why it works one time and not the next.Just trying to help!
Anyone got an answer to this, as I have exactly the same fault.
Dishwasher appears to switch on OK, then after a short time (20 secs?) the pump noise stops and the green light flashes - it seems to e a sequence of 7 flashes, then stop... 7 flashed then stop.
The sequence could indicate a fault detected?
Anyone know anything about these units from IKEA, made by Whirlpool?
DWF 415 Ikea Whirlpool Dishwasher has constant green blinking light. Drain pump works ok (as it will pump out a jug of water if I tip it into it!) but no water comes in. Cycle stops about 30 seconds after thre is no more water to pump. Any ideas on how to fix?
When it's buzzing, you have to let it buzz until it stops. Then you pressed stop then start. Et voilà!
"S" means salt, but you can use any salt you want.
