Re: installing wireless G router
If you can get to the internet, you already have a modem connected. Either a dial-up modem or a LAN modem. Whats your configuration?
Do you want to connect wireless to a laptop (or another desktop) through your desktop? Both pc's need a ethernet card. One of them needs to be a wireless ethernet. The other needs to connect to the router by cable or wireless.
But, lets backup. Do you have DSL or a standard phone line?

Don't you require an RJ-11 for a phone line, cause I don't see one on this model? In any case, the ATM protocol should be handled by the ISP modem, and the router should just pick up the established network over Ethernet.
Connect the ISP modem to main uplink port. Then connect pc to any other port. Done. Some models come with a setup disc, but not absolutely required.
Try removing power from the modem and router for 30 seconds, plug the modem back in first then the router. Also could be WPA, have you tried to take all security off and see if it makes a difference? Made sure the os is current with updates, some older sp for xp for instance had an issue with WPA.
Check All your connection Reset your Router in the back you will see a little hole with a button press on it for 10sec.. Then got in your Sitting Control Pannel add and Remove ...Remove your Belkin software and re start your PC then re install your belking software for Any PC You may have a 4 hub conection ... So make shure your Modem are connected on the right Hub on your Router and the phone line to the modem Because See The modem tranmit is data to the router the transmit on any pc connected ony your Router ...good luck
Your router does not need to be connected to a phone line. However is does need to be connected to a cable or DSL modem if you want internet access. If you are just looking for a network inside your home or business the router can be setup that way. Please reply with any other questions or rate this solution if you found it helpful. Thanks! Please see my response to this question. Your university's connection is most probably a LAN connection, so you'd need to follow the instructions as if you had a cable internet connection (unlike DSL, a LAN connection and cable internet connection don't require authentication with the ISP).
