2001 Dodge Strutus will not start

I have a 2001 Dodge Strutus DOHC 2.4 that I just bought and it will not start. It will turn over fine, but will not start. I have changed the spark plugs, coil pack, and spark plug wires. I am getting spark to all my cylinders. I have put in a new fuel pump. None of my fuses are blown. I problem the car has is that the steering column will not lock. I have the key to it and it column is not broke, however it will not lock at all. I am wondering if this could be my problem. But, I am getting spark on all my spark plugs, PLEASE HELP

I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow for them to scan it. I was wondering if the ignition switch could be stopping it from start, cause I am getting spark from the spark plugs.

2001 dodge stratus 2.4 dohc will the coil pack spark if the valves are bent on the number 2 and 3 cylinders

If the engine cranks, and the cam and crank are close to being in time, the coils should fire.
You just would not have compression on some cylinders.

No spark no fuel on a 1998 dodge strutus with distriutorless igntion

Did you find out what caused the lack of spark? If a fuel pump or filter fixed the no fuel problem that still leaves the no spark issue to deal with.

Try the idle air control valve since it raises the idle when you turn on a load to the engine.

Is there 2 timing marks on each cam gears one is mark on the middle on the tooth and the other one on the side of the tooth 2001 dodge stratus 2.4 4 door?

Click on the following direct Free Link. It has the correct Timing Belt Diagrams, including the one for the 2.4L. Scroll down that Page to the Diagram with the 2.4L Camshaft Timing Marks. As you can see there is a 1/2 notch difference. There are also additional Diagrams that will be very useful to you. I've worked alot on the 2.4L and trying to line these up 'perfectly' can cause problems.
Note: That Link Page contains: the 2.4L SOHC, 2.4L DOHC, 2.7L DOHC, and the 3.0L SOHC Engine Diagrams.

2001 Dodge Stratus will not start

Take air intake hose off at throttle body, open up throttle plate, and spray about 2 or 3 seconds of WD-40 into the throttle body. Now try to start it, if it kicks over & starts for a second or 2, then you've got spark, but not fuel in most cases. Let us know results. Can you hear a "hum " from rear area (gas tank) ,of car when you turn key to on position, but not start?
