There's another posting just like on here, but having spoken with a tech, he said to check a different part. Here's the issue:
the machine wouldn't start when I tried to run a load of clothes. The lights are on, put the display flashes between "PAU" and "50." When I press any of the buttons, I get 3 beeps and an error. I have tried to pull the error code with the Start/Cancel buttons, but it doesn't work.
A tech suggested that it could be the door/lid switch has become disconnected. Seems like that could be related as the machine responds the same way whether or not the door is open.
I don't know how to check the door/lid switch. Am I barking up the wrong tree? Is it really the control board like it was for the other person?
What's involved in replacing the control board and/or the door/lid switch?
My Frigidaire was doing the same thing. I tried holding the Start/Pause buttons, but I didn't get an error code or anything.
So just for the heck of it my husband unplugged it for 5 seconds, then he held down the Option and the Select buttons together and then only the spin light was on so I pushed start and it started. I guess it was stuck on spin.

Re: Frigidaire ATFB6000ES1 won't do anything...
The code can be pulled you really should figure out what is it trying to tell me before you go replacing its brain. The new one 50% of the time will throw the same code using this type of shot in the dark diagnostics.

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# ATFB6000ES1, is beeping randomly. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and see if you are hearing your washer randomly beeping. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
I understand that you are hearing a constant grinding sound while your Frigidaire washer, model# ATFB6000ES1, is running. There could be a possibility that your washer is overloaded. Do not overload washer. Stop washer and reduce load. If this does help with the grinding sound, I suggest resetting your appliance. You can do this by either, unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. . Hi Stacey C - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. Supposing that it does not, I would suggest contacting a professional to diagnose either the pump or timer.
My guess is that being that the lock is electronic, either the lock is defective or there is a problem in the control board in that it's not telling the lock to lock the door. I would have a tech check the board.
Tech support for this model has advised us that the motherboard is bad. This apparently has happened to a number of people and in my opinion there should be a recall. Has anyone else spoken to iLO Tech Support regarding this?
