Compaq FP 7317 LCD monitor flickering

I am stuck in Malawi in Africa with no access to any competent technical assistance so would greatly appreciate advice. My Compaq FP 7317 LCD monitor is 18 months-2 years old and has just started flickering very slightly. There is no distortion and the colours are fine but I would like to know whether this means the screen is on its way out or whether there is a simple fix to this problem. I'm hoping it's the latter because we don't have access to affordable hardware replacements out here! Please help!

Right click on your desktop, go to properties. Go to settings tab. Go to advanced. Select Monitor Tab. Under Monitor settings select a higher screen refresh rate. It should fix your problem :-)

Monitor displaying check video cable

Hi,

Please check the connectivity of the cable that runs from the Monitor to the Box.

It is usually with Blue color connectors with tightening screws on the sides of the connector.

Just make sure that it is firmly secured into both the ends.

If this doesn't work for you, please comment and let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you to further resolve your issue.

I will appreciate your feedback and positive rating for this solution.
Thank you.

Where does place sell spertpart power suplay LCD Type 7317 17"

Most LCD monitors use the universal connection for power and video. You can go to any local electronics store and pick one up. It is a 3 pin somewhat trapezoidal connection. If you have a connection that is the circle with a pin in the center. You may have to order it from the manufacturer.

I have the compaq FP 7317 monitor and the speakers on it dont seem to work how can i fix it? i tryed plugging in other speakers but those work either

Make sure that your soundcard is properly installed as are it's drivers. Check to see that sound is not muted. This can be done via the speaker icon in the system tray or from sound in control panel.

Low volume on HP Compaq FP 7317.

You can try using an audio enhancer. That can boost your audio volume a bit.

Works for PC's as well as laptops.

Check the buttons on your monitor for possible shorts. Sometimes pressing a sequence of buttons while turning the monitor on will lock the OSD.
