Dtv converter box, no PS2

Hi Bonnie, first, we need to know if your TV is compatible for the connections from the Playstation. The way to tell, is do you have the matching RCA inputs on the TV? These are the Yellow(Y) Red(R) and White(W) cords that come with all PS1's 2's and 3's. (Yes, all years and models are exactly the same) If your TV does NOT have the matching RCA inputs, don't worry! You can still hook it up to the TV, but it will require another piece of equipment. You will need to add a signal converter box(I will put in a link for it) What this does, is lets you plug the cords from the Playstation, into the box, then out too the place where you plug your cable or TV antenna. These boxes are also called RF Modulators. They are available at every local Walmart or Meijers respectively.I hope this helps. Good luck. ^^

You will have to get a RF Modulator so that you can hook up converter box and your ps2, your tv is saying progam channels because there is no box hooked up anymore,

first off make sure u have the box turn off

this is what i would do:
i would get a short coaxile cable and splitter and hook them up to your tv

........................TV.........................Coax input
.........................|..............................Coax Wire
......................../\.......................................Coax Splitter
....................../...\.......................................Coax wire from ps2 and dtv box
...............PS2......DTV box......................

Ok if you want to hook up RCA cables to that TV and dont have a adapter you can buy a RF MODULATOR ( Wall-mart / radio shack for $20.00) and use that to conect to TV and the ps2 will connect to that ( this will also let you use a DVD player with the TV!)

unhook the cable box from the tv and hook that cable into the ant in on the modulator and run the output of the modulator to the tv.set the modulator and tv on channel 3.you may have to turn off the cable box to play ps2.please give me a rating if this was helpful,if you need more help just ask

just connect the yellow, red, and white cables in the front or back of the t.v and then tune to channel 3

Hi, If your PS2 has an RF module, it is possible that the PlayStation 2's RF unit is interfering with your reception. Even if you are using the Audio/Video OUTput of the PS2, the RF module is also working and throwing out an output to either Chs 3 or 4. By switching off the PS2, the RF module would likewise be off. If by switching off the PS2 does not solve the problem, it is also possible that the Video input board of your TV has been slightly damaged. I doubt if it is a major repair and offhand would probably involved minor components or simply re-soldering. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information.
