I have vista o.s. and intel d102ggc2 motherboard with intel P-D processor and i can't install my chipset driver & video driver.

You will need to find the manufacturer of your sound chip eg Realtek and then go to their relevant site for drivers if supported, although it may not be as there would have been drivers within the Vista Operatring system installation.

you could need the standard realtek driver or possibly the vista digital high def sound driver, see below

This is quite a common problem and is easily solved on a desktop by fitted a windows 7 compatable sound card. however you obviously cannot do this on a laptop. If there is no windows 7 driver for the onboard sound then try and find a vista one as this may work. If there is no vista driver available then you are stuffed and windows 7 is just a no goer.

I looked up your motherboard and found some posts that suggest that the onboard VGA may be the problem you're having with Vista - using an another video card will probably allow you to install and operate Vista on your machine.

Check whether the sound card drivers compatible with your present operating system. if your Pc built with Vista OS. then Get a vista driver from its official website.Some times When you install any devices or driver that might change the system files. even it may corrupt the files due to its incompatibility. Some mother board and Bios does not support some type of Sound cards . if your Motherboard has onboard audio .then disable it through Bios utility. uninstall the sound card,drivers. Remove the Sound card. REplug it. Restart the Pc. this time you can get add new hardware window. install the drivers. if problem still persists contact service centre.

Audio - Vista 32Bit

There only drivers written for
SoundMAX Audio Driver version 5.12.01.3663 WHQL driver for Windows 98SE,ME,2000,XP
No VISTA yet.

You can call ASUS and ask them if they are planning to write them,or pick up a new sound card that will be compatible with VISTA.
