This sounds like your Z sustain board has gone bad. I just repaired an HP plasma today with the same complaint. All the modules inside were LG. The Z board is the one on the Right side of the set with the cover off or facing the back. You might have 1 or 2 ceramic fuses on it, check them, if one is bad Replace the board.

Very poor picture. Looks like some picture setting way off. LIttle red in picture.

If you are using component cables to hookup to the tv check to see if one has come loose on either end. This will cause the color to be off.

Remote control and buttons on top of tv wont work!

you unplugged the front panel with the buttons on it and the remote reciever
you have to slide the chassis out
reach in to the front and replug the front panel to the plug from the main board
then slide all boards back in place

Blurry picture

In the store they use an HD source and connection. Is your cable box HD? It will have component or hdmi connections if it is.You have use either one to get HD everything else will be SD(standard def). And you have to be on an HD channel.Digital cable refers to how the signal is delivered doesn't mean its HD. SD channels on digital still look bad..

FUZZY (SNOWY) PICTURE

Well, I can tell you it shouldnt have anything to do with your not having an HD box. The TV does not require a HD signal to give you a quality picture. The HD box only gives you the enhanced HD signal, but should work as any regular TV without it. How do you have it connected?

Big black screen in picture

You have the CC (closed captioning) turned on and it is set to text mode. Look for a button on your remote labeled "CC" or go into your TV menu and make sure the captioning selection is set to "off".
