Wonder if you could expand on the problem a bit (dont rate me yet). Is the disc being ejected straight away? Have you tried burning some data to it? What software are you using to burn (if any). Please give any other information including all the things you have tried.

Assuming you have used this make of media before and tried other discs incase you have a bad batch, it could be that your drives laser itself is starting to fail when reading certain media, although it may still be able to read cd's and DVD it may fail with CDR and/or DVD-RW discs.

What driver do i use for my sony mp4 player... model number nwz-s616f.. please help me

Hi,
It is not required to install any Driver for connecting the Walkman Player to the Computer. The Driver for recognizing the Walkman Player as a MTP Device is already installed in the Computer. You can install the supplied Windows Media Player 11 Software for transferring the files to the Player. You can either Drag and Drop the files using the Windows Explorer to the MUSIC Folder which appears as a Removable Drive or can use the Windows Media Player 11 for transferring. If the Player is not recognized by the Computer, try connecting to different USB ports and try re-installing the USB Driver from the Device Manager.
Thank you for using FixYa!

DVD/RW Recognition Issue

+/- media matters =)

make sure you're using compatible media... some cd/dvd drive will do this spinning and spit out the media they don't recognize. if you're inserting blank cd/dvd, check the lable on the disk if you're using the plus "+" then replace it with a minus "-" then vise versa...

My Computer and iTunes does not recognize my iPod

Hold in play/pause, and then connect to PC

I don't completely understand the "Firweire" reference. The manual (and logic) does not indicate that a firewire connection would work. Plain old USB for this device.

Hp dv6000

There is option in BIOS called something about automated SATA recognition or similar - disable it. It is under System configuration. And if you are putting new drive in then run full test from BIOS (Hard drive selftest - takes about 79min.)
I tried to reinstall Windows Media center on my HP dv6000 because my previous hdd crashed - When I put in installation cd - it said that it can't find hdd. I spent week to figuring that out. The thing is - as far as you haven't disabled that SATA thing in BIOS - PC doesn't recognize hdd. But only with Windows media center edition. With all other windows xp - there is no such problems. Strange.
