I have a Initial HDTV-260. In Digitial mode, two channels seem to come in as static reception. It was coming in OK before. It is channels 11.1 and 11.2. Being digital mode I can't fine tune it.

1997 toyota corolla car radio. CD works ok but no reception from radio. All appears ok in display with channels showing and all channel change/scan functions work but no sound. Sometimes static is audible...

First of all have you connected a good antennae. Please double check this out if the antennae cable is shorting with the body ground. If possible use an external antennae wired to the set. If this wont help, then we have definately an issue within the front end of the radio section. Check within the set after putting the mode to Radio for any detecction of EMI. Use a signal injector if you can to trace the signal back from the preamp audio to the radio IF. If you get a response you might have a failed IF processor. Replace if you are able to do so.Initially fix the frequency to the most powerful channel and shake wires or connectors to get a reception. if so solder the area in question. You could also put the Radio on for some time to check for any capacitor electrolitics that have reduced in life/value. I hope this helps. Good day

Strong static when I'm on the phone

Try changing channels to find one with better reception. If you can't find a clear channel, try plugging a corded phone into the same jack and see if you get better reception. If you are getting static on your corded phones too, call the phone company to have them check the lines. Don't forget that fluorescent lights, vacuum cleaners, and other electric devices with an electromagnet (light ballast, electric motors, etc...) will create interference.

Philips 32" lcd hdtv. HDTV no longer displays, but sound still ok

I reset the comcast cablebox. I totally unplugged the cablebox for 20 seconds and then plugged it back in. Turned on both the cablebox and the tv and the HDTV channels operated correctly.

Using an over the air antenna I get all channels but one.

I experience the same thing on a day to day basis. The key, is location of the antenna. Depending on where your antenna is located, determines if u can recieve local CBS analog v. digitial. I actually tried sticking aluminum foil to my old rabbit ear antenna legs. to my surprise, I even picked up digital channel I never knew existed. Besides, when the signal transmit in Digital, u are already prepared. Your local CBS afilliate station will be accesable on maybe 2 or 3 channels. example:

Channel 10 analog

Channel 10-1, 10-2, 10-3 digital HD will all broadcast the same programming.

hope this helps u out.

37" LG 1080p

Hi ks0412,

If you are receiving a High-Definition (HDTV) signal through an over-the-air broadcast, you may see this kind of mosaic-like breakup of the picture and sound if the signal is weak or interrupted. This is the same way that you would receive snow and static with an analog signal in the past. I would suggest readjusting your antenna for better reception on the channels that are giving you trouble.

If you are receiving this broken signal from a subscription-based service such as cable or satellite, I would recommend contacting your service provider for assistance. It could be a problem with the signal, your equipment, or the equipment setup.

Thank you,
Jason,
