Adobe Acrobat Reader needs to be updated. It sounds like your automatic update is turned off.

Sounds like an MSI error code which would mean your trying to install a windows file on a mac which wont work, of cause.

It seems you may have a problem with your sound card, replace it or goto a dealer and get it checked out. Hope this helps.

Yes there is something wrong! The sound card driver is corrupted!

YOu need to check on device manager again. Look for your drivers there.

If you do not see the EXACT NAME of your sound card, then the driver that is installed is a DEFAULT driver made by the os.

Ex: This is a sound card driver name listed in Device manager:
IDT HIGH DEFINISION AUDIO

This is an example of a default sound card driver that will not work well on certain sounds or will not work at all:

LEGACY SOUND DEVICE

Even thought you many not see a yellow question mark (which you should be checking for too just in case)on any of the listings for your hardware, chances are you are still using a default sound card driver due to a corruption to its original sound card driver.

So recheck your device manager and find out the exact name of your original sound card. If there is no match to your exact name of your sound card, then you need to REINSTALL your sound card driver again and you will immediatly see your sound card working again :)

If this does not work, you may have to change your sound card.

You need to tell your computer what program you select to open your image files. click on the image you want to open and choose 'open with' as your defaul6 program to open these files 4' then to find your adobe program . Go to Programs ;Adobe and then photoshop (or whateve) program you want to be the default program and select the icon to choose this as the default program to open your jpeg or tiff files or whatever you are having a problem opening. Follow these steps (Windows Vista):

Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound - Manage Audio Devices - Record - Right click to show all the devices (including the deactivated ones) - Activate all the devices you can.

In Adobe Audition:
Edit - Audio Hardware Setup - Edit View - Control Panel button - Direct Sound Input Ports - Enable one device (default input will now show the device). Now you will be able to record sound.

Some internet applications needs video and or sound stream controls needed some file to run or view. In this case, you can hardly tell what downloaded programs you have installed that overrides the default installed drivers. In some case upon uninstalling some program it will ask "are you share to remove the shared file xx.xx?" Now to regain back the sound card driver you had. You must check the sound card driver at control panel sound settings property. Remove it or update the driver you will need to. Note: check if any the soundcard driver file properties has an error marked. This helps you determine the drivers fault or conflicts.
