Universal remote codes can vary depending on the brand and model of the remote control you are using. TCL TVs are often compatible with various universal remotes, and you can typically find the codes in the remote's manual or on the manufacturer's website. However, if you don't have access to the manual, you can try the following steps to find the code:
1. **Automatic Code Search:**
- Turn on your TCL TV.
- Point the universal remote at the TV.
- Press and hold the "Code Search" or "Setup" button on the remote until the LED light turns on.
- Press the "TV" (or another applicable) button on the remote.
- The LED light should blink once and then stay solid.
- Press the "Power" button repeatedly until the TV turns off.
- Once the TV turns off, press the "Enter" or "OK" button on the remote to save the code.
2. **Manual Code Entry:**
- Find the code list that came with your universal remote or check the manufacturer's website for a list of codes.
- Turn on your TCL TV.
- Press and hold the "Code Search" or "Setup" button on the remote until the LED light turns on.
- Enter the first code for TCL TVs from the list using the number buttons on the remote.
- If the LED light blinks, check if the TV responds to the remote (try turning it off and on).
- If the TV does not respond, repeat the process with the next code until you find the correct one.
3. **Manufacturer's Support:**
- Visit the website of the universal remote's manufacturer and check if they provide code lists or support for TCL TVs.
- You may find an online tool or database to help you find the correct code for your TCL TV model.
Remember that not all universal remotes are compatible with all TV models, so it may take some trial and error to find the correct code. If none of the codes work, you may need to contact the manufacturer of your universal remote for further assistance.
That is usually a sign that the power supply or the LED's in the display are failing. You may be able to order new power supply or parts for it from shopjimmy.com
HI there do check all circuit boards in back cover for any blown fuses or other electronic components , If all good then you will have to remove LCD screen to test LED lights . switch TV on from standby mode and shine a LED torch onto screen with room completely dark if ICONS do display ,Then i wood recommend for you start off checking your power supply circuit board or driver board . A easy way of checking if LED lights are working again in a dark room with TV switched on look through back cover vent holes for any light shinning through small openings this would determine if some or all back LED lights are blown.
Check its 5V standby voltage at the main board. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
