could be your inverter board, whitch controls the backlight. I could very well be the backlight as well, but that is less likely. Inverter boards are not all too expensive, and if you are knoledgable with laptops, i would say doit yourself, but if you have any doubts, take it to apple, sur it will cost more, but it is the safet bet.
Hi, The inverter board has developed a dry or dropped joint. The inverter controls the backlight that lights up the display. Take the monitor to a reputable computer repair store and they will be able to repair the inverter for you at a small cost.
