We all need to go after Kenmore for a defective product... there are too many complaints about the icemaker not making any ice. And yes I can get water out of the door dispenser but I can't get any ice... what a surprise.

I bought a kenmore elite 25 cu trio form SEARS it make ice but will not dump it into the box. If I do it manully (pushing the green bottom on the side) it will dump the ice. It gets better, once the ice is in the bucket it then melts together and sometime to a point that water runs onto the floor

The flap that closes once ice is dispensed does not close, therefore, allowing condensation to enter the freezer and leak. 'Can the plastic flap be replaced?

Have side by side 106.56244400 kenmore. Water dispenses fine. Ice maker stopped working. There was ice in the tray so I used blow dryer to warm and took ice pieces out manually. Then dried out tray. Replaced water filter and nothing has helped. Water has not refilled the tray. I tried to move the white bar with fingers and it will not budge.

I have had this fridge since 1997 and never looked for or found a water filter. Friends tell me there has to be one???? That all refrigerators w/ice and water in the door should have one and it should be replaced frequently.

A couple things to check here. First see if there is ice in the tray. If so chances are the ice maker will need to be replaced however these are very reliable ice makers. If no ice in the tray pull up on the ejector blade (don't worry you won't break it) turn clockwise to start the ice maker thru a cycle. The ejector blade is the long white bar with fingers on it that run the length of the tray. Once it completes a cycle it should fill with water. If no water then either the fill tube is frozen over and will need to be defrosted or the water valve is bad.

My ice maker would not work, I found that there was not water in the ice section. The line was froze on the black tube entering the ice maker section inside the freezer. I took a hair dryer and thawed the black line an then had to heat the top section of the freezer to thaw the line going to the water valve. Make sure you do not leave the hair dryer in one spot to long because it will melt the liner of the freezer. But this did work.

SOURCE: Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Either your water tank in the fridge froze up, the waterline that goes up the freezer door from the bottom hinge froze, or the switch that your glass hits is damaged. Do you hear any humming or noises when you put your glass up to get water?

SOURCE: Kenmore Coldspot w/Ice Maker Not Making Ice

hi LOP7,
In most cases you can easily solve this problem.
step one would be to make sure your freezer is getting cold enough. If you have icecream in your freezer is it frozen solid or is it soft. Most icemakers cycle around 0 degrees and if your freezer is not getting to 0 then it will not cycle and it will not make ice.
Step two would be to make sure you icemake is cycling. To do this simply lift the little shut off arm on your icemaker and wait about an hour then go back to the icemaker and drop the arm down. The icemaker should start going through a cycle. You should notice the arm slowly begin to raise and the ice dispencer fingers will begin to turn. Then you will hear it call for water. You may hear a humm.
If the freezer is cold enough and the icemaker is cycling that only leaves the inlet valve. replace the valve and enjoy the ice.
If the freezer is cold enought and the icemaker does not cycle, then you have a bad icemaker. Simply replace the icemaker and viola.
Third if the freezer is not cold enought 0 defrees. Then you may have a defrost problem. In this case post more info and I will be happy to help. Good luck [email protected]

SOURCE: whirlpool refrigerator ice dispenser no longer workds

Ok, I show parts that are available for that model, sounds like the control board is defective for your dispenser, or possibly the Ice maker control board. It also could be a break in the wiring or the control itself. Below is a break down for those parts, wiring and the control behind the push to dispense ice or water. Hope it is not that control because some places don't provide that part. Now if it's a connection problem that we can find, I will do mu best to help you solve this.Could you insure the model number is correct as this is very important? [email protected]

Kenmore coldspot water dispenser stopped working. Ice maker works. What could be possibly wrong?

On the rear of your refrigerator there is a dual water control valve. One side for ice maker and one side for water dispenser. I believe your side for the water dispenser has failed and they come as a set. Send the Kenmore model number and I will find you one. The number will look like this, 326.256489 for example only. Found near the bottom of the fresh food section door. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Ice Maker does not work.

Check the line going to the ice maker for clogging.

Kenmore side by side refrigerator Ice maker not working

Found out we still had a warranty/service contract on it. Contacted SEARs and I explained problem to technician. Scheduled house call is Friday.

I have a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator and the water dipenser quit working, the ice maker works fine. Any solutions?

Check water valves on back of fridge, one is for the ice maker and other is for water dispenser. Need to get the correct and complete model number listed on front and near floor behind the fresh food door. Problem may be the water valve in back or the dispenser switch on the front. let me know and I will try to get it going for you.
Thanks, Sea Breeze

Check to make sure you freezer is at 0 to 5 degrees. If it is not the water valve to the ice maker will not even open.

there is valve for each right at the water inlet, your valve is stuck or your coil is bad......get a new valve.
