My plasma tv picture is green

well dropping it wasnt the problem,you cant drop a plazma screen
and expect it to work again

Most likely your control board: The board with the large processor that controls most of the picture formation is bad. Sounds like it is under warranty if it is only a month old.

I had the same problem a few months after buying the TV, called LG and they sent a tech to replace two boards in the tv. No further problems since.

i have got the same problem with my LG 42PC1D might work for a few days or a few hours no solution as yet

Hello Depending how wide the line is their could be two possible causes.
I have two questions for you.
1. How wide is the line.
2. Does it run from top of screen to bottom of screen?
If the line is thin a single strait line then it is possible the PDP has gone Bad (Panel). (Screen). The screen will to be replaced.
If the line is at least 2 or more inches wide then its a buffer board which can be replaced. LG calls this board Hand insert Boards or display driver boards..

Sadly, the plasma screen is failing. The green strip is no longer functioning properly and the failures will continue to progress.

If still under warranty, get it exchanged.

Have you made sure the box is set to send a HDTV signal to your LG? Example 720p, 1080i, or 1080p? You usually have to set the resolution in the v+.

I'm guessing this is a problem on the Y-SUS PCB or the Control PCB. Call LG and they will find you a servicer. Most LG Plasmas have 2 year warranties and they are covered in your home. It kinda sucks but it is better now than after your warranty expires this repair would cost several hundred dollars.
