This sounds like a convergence problem. try to use the auto-adjust first but if that fails try checking the voltage on the convergence ICs and compare them to the values on the schematic diagram. What may have happened is a cold solder joint just broke or even an over heat stressed track on the board (uncommon, but has happend). If this is a cold solder joint the problem can be fixed by just re-heating the cold joint. If it is not a solder problem then the ICs have to be changed.

Your Convergence ICs have failed. Replace the STK chips, check fuses and the resistors next to the STK chips. Replace as necessary and re-align via the service menu.
Use this simple test to verify. Go to the users menu on the tv. Look for the converge option to align the red and blue colors
If you cannot move the red either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for red section. If you cannot move the blue either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for the blue section.
If you can move both in each direction then the problem is something else.
Note if one STK chip fails, you replace both regardless.
Hi you have bad convergence ic stk modules ,Cost for repair center to fix is 250.00. call your local repair center ask there prices on convergence ic repair. It is a very common problem every 3 to 5 years .Our service center does a lot of these.
Replace the convergence amps. That unit takes two Sanyo STK392-110 and you could use 150's for greater reliability. Also replace one or more of the 1.2 ohm resistors in the yoke return circuit out front of the amps.
