I have a Samsung LN32B65DT1FXZA. The top center of the picture flickers when you first turn it on and takes about 30 minutes to go away. Three quarters of the screen from the top down is a lighter shade and you can see a horizontal line that separates the screen. Which board should be replaced if any?

SOURCE: Our LN40A630 has three horizontal white lines

This is a sign of your LCD panel beginning to die. Sometime soon those lines won't fade away and will become permanent parts of your TV screen.

Considering the fact that your TV is approx 3-4 years old, this is normally the expected lifespan of a TV. Once the TV becomes unwatchable, your best bet would be to begin shopping for a new one.

Rca 42in full hd lcd picture flickers

If the picture on your TV flickers, there may be a simple fix. Here are some possible answers and suggested solutions:

1. Your set-top box may need a simple reboot. Unplug the power connection to the set-top box for about 30 seconds. Reconnect the power and turn the set-top box back on.

2. Check all of your cables for a loose connection by tightening each one with your fingers.Flickers can sometimes be caused by bends in rigid cables, too.

3. If your picture flickers to a black or blue screen, you could have a bad set-top box. Contact your cable or satellite service provider about installing a new one.

4. If you still have audio, the flickering could also mean that you have a failing backlight.

For additional troubleshooting information, check out the chart at TV flickering for more solutions. I hope this helps!

i had the similar problem. i'm not a tech but like to take stuff apart to find the problem. on my tv i took the back completely off. do not touch the boards. if you follow the power supply from the plug up two boards i found a small white adjustment screw. it was just up and to the right slightly from the plug. with a small screw driver i turned it slightly to the right and the flickering and delayed picture went away. couldn't tell you why it worked but it did. hope this helps, saved us $800 to buy a new tv.

I had the same issue occur on my ln55c650 (screen flickering, not the actual image but the front lights flashed which was too distracting) and they had to replace the power supply pc-board. Seems some issue with power module in the TV rather than the side panels. Luckily for me, TV was still in warranty.

I also have the same problem but when i called a samsung tech they told me it was the board. They pulled the cables that you were talking about out and it didn't do anything. apprently he said there is something wrong with the panel cause if you try it, u can bend the panel and it will make it better for a while. But if you want to fix it, it's 1200 just for the panel which is bull and samsung won't fix it if you are out of warranty.
