If your scope is worth more than $400 than it might be worth repairing. If not I would buy another scope. The repair cost would exceed the value.

By returning to retailer and asking for a quote for repair or warranty repair probably be cheaper to get another scope

Yes, more than likely.
The scope just needs to be disassembled and the crosshair flange repaired or replaced.
A dealer should be able to order the part or at least fit one similar enough to work.
The trick is not to allow any moisture into the scope's internal cavity during the repair.

not with a "tasco" there a bit of a cheepy scope, if it was a good make then it would be worth the cost of the repair, put it this way,,,the scope you fit to your rifle should cost 3 times more that the rifle did! a tasco scope on e-bay costs what? £150.00p to be honest theres a big "0" missing from that price?

Parsons Scope Service at 513 867-0820 repaired my Fecker scope. Excellent work at a reasonable prices. He has done work on three old scopes for me. He only works on external adjusting scopes.
