I found a pc that has windows 95 installed in it . how can the old windows be replced by new windows

Install XP or win98 from win95 only.... If you dont want to remove it than u can make use of it...You can make use of multiple OS.. Else Install XP after inserting disc and rebooting pc...and select from bios mode your 1st boot option to CD-ROM Please make sure you dont install XP on the drive in which 95 is installed otherwise it will overwrite it.

If you want to remove win 95 just remove it ... or else if you want to install new version .. try upgrading ..

Some programs have to be run after going into the programs section, identifying the specific program and click " run as Administrator". In most cases the Windows 7 will run anything for older Windows programs. Best Wishes

Yes, sorry Bryan. Sounds like the hard drive on that computer finally failed. Since the machine is so old, you'd have to purchase an IDE Hard Drive which you'll probably have to purchase online. Secondly, you'd have to do a full reinstall of Windows on this new drive. Lastly, you'll have to locate an install the software that was controlling your furnaces. Sounds like an awful lot of work. I wish you the best of luck.

More than likely it will not. What you can do is run a virtual PC. But it also depend on if the program will run in XP or win 2000. If you have a windows 95 or 98 disk and key, then you can install it with Virtual PC from Microsoft. Check it out here:

If so, then insert the CD-ROM for Office 95 when running the Office 2007 installer.
Or, insert the CD-ROM for the Office 2000/XP/2003 upgrade when requested.
