Ipod crashed, sad ipod face, do i have to get a new ipod? i already went to apple support. doesn't work. ??

There are a few last things you can do. Try entering diagnostic mode by holding the center and left buttons together on bootup. You can also try to see if itunes will recognize it when connected. If so, try to do a restore.

My ipod is showing a caution sigh and it doesnt

Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore." Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings. After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead. The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like this. Follow the onscreen instructions. On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer?s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed. As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar. After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it?s done. Now you?ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod. Now you can sync the iPod with your computer and download your iTunes library again.

Ipod battery will not charge

Reset it. Turn the hold key on and off then hold the central button in for 10 seconds.

If this doesnt fix it send it back to apple by getting a box sent to your address from the apple website. *sigh* This is why I got rid of my ipod, Too many problems and 9 replacements.

Harddrive motor starts but stops

Try the 5 R's from apple first:
www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs

If that doesn't work, try putting the ipod in disk mode by first resetting the ipod and then pressing the center and play button at the same time at the apple logo. Then if itunes recognizes it, try to restore using itunes.

Ipod

Your iPod Won't Turn On" from the Apple Support Site provides in-depth instructions for troubleshooting an iPod that won't turn on. Apple recommends that you: 1. Make sure the Hold switch is off
2. Make sure the battery is charged
3. Reset iPod
4. Let iPod's battery drain
5. Update iPod's software
6. Make sure iPod is the only device in your FireWire or USB chain. Disconnect everything but the mouse, keyboard, and your iPod, then see if it will turn on.
7. Make sure you are using the FireWire or USB cable that came with your iPod, and that the cable is in good condition.
8. Try connecting iPod to the built-in port of a different computer to see if that works.
"iPod Stops Responding or Won't Wake From Sleep" from the Apple Support Site notes that you need to "charge your iPod, then reset your iPod" if it won't turn off or wake up.
