Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

MY ilo mp3 player will not start unless it is connected to a computer.

I have created any damage to my ilo mp3 player, such as drop it or get it wet. It just stopped working. Attempted to replace the battery with 2 different batteries with no success. Used usb cable to hook to the computer, and the computer will play the music - but the mp3 screen does not have any text.

Thanks very much for the help. I have not yet tried the solution, but reported the information to Wal-Mart, where I purchased it. They are currently responding. The purchase was made more than 3 months ago, so it is out of warranty (though I did not begin to use it until July 2007. I will use the suggested solution after exhausting replacement/repair options if available with Wal-mart.

ILO 2GB MP3 Player Not Working!!!!

1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

2)
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.
