Question about Motorola Mobility ROKR E8 Cellular Phone

Can't register sim card

I was given this tracfone and bought minutes for it, but it is saying that sim card is not registered. What do I do? I bought the motorol ROKR E8 off the orange website..activated the sim that came with phone ..the website confirmed the activation.. i then put the sim in the phone but it doesnt work..it says "unregistered sim" on the home screen.. i then put another orange sim in and the same message appears :(

Can I put minutes on my phone even if it says unregistered sim?
I wouldn't.Contact your service provider first to register the SIM.

My lg tracfone reads unregistered sim.It has always worked until I was not using it for about a wk.
Tracfone deletes SIM cards and the associated phone number from their registration database if the available airtime minutes goes to zero. Try buying minutes for the phone. (If you wait too long (~2 months), Tracfone may not be able to re-register the SIM card. In that case, you'll need a new SIM card.)

Do you remember when your minutes were due to expire? (Remember Tracfone doesn't do roll-overs of minutes.)

So i have an unlocked phone and i put in on a carrier but i now want to change the carrier..how do i do it?
What is the model of your mobile phone? If your Tracfone SIM is an active and GSM SIM it must be automatically read by your mobile phone. What message does your mobile displays when inserted a Tracfone SIM to it?
I think you have not unlocked your mobile properly. How did you unlock it? Unlocking a mobile phone using unlock code is the best way to unlock. You can get the unlock code for your mobile phone from www.Superunlockcodes.com at very low cost.

I am trying to use a Tracfone sim card on an unlocked Razor3 phone. I read somewhere that Tracfone puts software in their phones to enable their sim cards. How can I fix this problem?
Call Tracfone customer service to register any new phone or sim card. Is this a sim card you have been using in another Tracfone? I don't know if that will be a problem with Tracfone, but it seems like they would be happy to have your business.

Can't register sim card
Many providers will have the rights to so many numbers, so they will have certain stages before the number gets recycled. For many providers it will be based on inactivity. So, that account is probably now inactive and a new account needs to be purchased.

If you feel this can't be the case, you can try and make sure that the sim card is making proper connection. First, check the SIMs card for dirt or damage. If it is filthy, we use rubbing alcohol and a soft toothbrush to clean it, if it is damaged then that might be your problem and you'll need to purchase a new one and have the account moved to that SIMs. Also, make sure that the SIM card is put down properly (I can't tell you the amount of times when people don't put it down in the grooves) and if it isn't a sliding slot, that it clips down properly.
