If the WIDE button on the remote control isn't changing the aspect ratios here is what I can tell you:

Normal is not available when you are watching a 720p, 1080i or 1080p source.
If 4:3 Default is set to anything but Off, the Wide Mode setting changes only for the current channel. When you change channels (or inputs), Wide Mode is automatically replaced with the 4:3 Default setting for 4:3 sources. To retain the current Wide Mode setting as channels and inputs are changed, set 4:3 Default to Off.
4:3 Default is not available if Auto Wide is set to Off.

Its a socket for the wireless unit? I would be interested in knowing the brand of the unit and if possible a better idea of what is broken--is it on the set or the wireless headphone unit?

What is the exact model number of your Sony Bravia? Bravia is only the model name. There are so many models with Bravia model name, and the exact model number is the important thing, as each model number will have its own service manuals.

Hi,the problem is from the fuse in the tv,it's blown and it's a means of in-built security against power fluctuations from damaging the unit,so the solution is to replace the fuse of the TV to restore your unit back to a normal working condition.

Try changing the cable to another connector. If picture is still poor, try changing the cable for a new one. Also verify that the sky unit is giving a good picture by connecting it to another TV and see if picture is clear.

You could also verify the connections on the TV by inputting video from another source such as VCR or video camera.
