Is that what appears on the screen?

If so it means that it's not seeing the phone line.

1. Plug in a basic phone to make sure the line really is working.
2. Check the phone cord is connected to the correct socket (probably marked line)
3. If still no line change the cord and make sure that it suits the pin-out of your country. Most of the world uses pins 3 and 4 but the UK uses 2 and 5 on it's wacky BT flat plug. Israel uses this BT plug but uses pins 3 and 4 !!

I'm not using a land line with my Panasonic KX-TGD560 and only have my cell connected to it via Bluetooth. How do I clear the "Check Tel Line" message since I'm not using a "Tel Line"?

Check Tel Line means that the phone is not getting a dial tone. Unless you connect the KX-TGD560 base to a RJ-11 phone cord going to a RJ-11 jack with a working telephone service, this message will continue.

I've never used the cell phone link without having a land line connection. The Link-to-cell option for using the handset on Cell 1 (or Cell 2) may still work. You need to have a compatible cell phone close to the base. The phone needs to be positioned where it gets good signal strength. Test this yourself.

I hope this helps.

In normal condition phone continuously ringing what do

There could have been a short or ground in the telephone line (Tip and Ring). Please check the connection of the Tel line cord in the junction box. If your Tel line consist of 3 wires, disconnect all three wires, lift the handset, connect only 2 wires going to Exch Line or Trunk line (Local Tel Company) until you hear the dial tone. Leave the other wire disconnected.
This helped me isolate the problem, I hope this applies to you.
Best regards.

All phones are plugged in and operating but i get a busy signal on all in talk mode

I assumed when you say all phones are operating means there's power and are charging.
1. There could be some phones that are loading the Tel line. Disconnect all phones and plug it one by one while checking the dial tone. If all phones gives busy tone, there coulb be a problem in the Trunk line or the Tel Company line.
2. There could be a short or resistance in the line. Check the connection in junction box between your house and the Tel Company cable.
3. If you have an analog Tel set, you can check the dial tone directly from Tel Company cable that comes in to your house.

I hope this helps.
Best Regards.

What is wrong when the phone says Check tel line?

The telephone cord may not be connected correctly.
  1. Unplug both ends of the cord connecting the wall jack to the telephone base.
  2. Insert one end of the cord to the TEL LINE jack on the base.
  3. Make sure that the cord is inserted correctly in the TEL LINE jack on the phone.
  4. When you insert the cord you should hear a click.
  5. Insert the other end of the cord to the wall jack.
  6. Make sure cord is inserted correctly.
  7. You should hear a click.

Message reads: "Check tel line"

You can remove your telephone line from the base unit and fix it to stranded telephone unit and hear the dial tone.If it heard then some inductor or else part may be broken inside the base unit due high current surge. If the dial tone didn't heard from the other phone also check for the corroded line cord or modular box fault with the tel line. There should be 30 Volt-50Volt D.C.Voltage at your wire ends.

Receiving and sending faxes

if the fax is connected to the same line and you have a phone connected to the fax you need to make sure you connect the line from the socket at wall to the correct socket on the fax you can check this by looking at the point the line is connected on fax there should be two connectors one says line and one says tel.. the line in goes to the line socket and your telephone goes into the tel socket.. if you have them the other way round it cant connect properly..on the front display panel make sure you have it set to the auto setting or tel fax mode for receive.. if you have it to auto it will check the incoming call if it is a fax it will send it through if not it will ring till you answer.. if set to tel/fax mode when it rings you will have to answer the phone and manually press start if you hear it is a fax.. Good luck A
