Re: cannot download pictures
There is a host of problems with your camera driver and good old VISTA.
i suggest using a card reader, it is simply an "adapter" between the cameras flash card and the USB 2.0
this reader lets the camera card behave like a normal usb/external memory device.it can be found for about $24 at most electronics stores.

You can download the drivers from the CD that came with the camera, or download the drivers from Sony's web site at www.sony.com, click support or downloads. You'll need the exact model number of your camera.
Hi, Sounds like a compatibility problem related to Vista. If your pics are stored on a camera card then i recommend that you purchase a card reader/writer and pop the camera card in that to transfer the pics to the computer. They are very cheap at around $2( £1) and you can get them anywhere from places like PC World, radio shack etc.
you don't need a driver
just connect it
turn it on
open my computer on your desktop
look for an icon or hard drive that wasn't there before
double click it
inside there will be 2 or 3 folders
one of them will have your pics in
copy and paste them wherever you want
I found driverguide.com to be very helpful and have found a few sites through google for the software itself...driverguide will want you to become a premium member, but if you go free route it will take you through several ads, just dont bother with them, after about 5-6 ads i think you will get to download page for drivers
