You will need to get a "regular" Universal remote and program it for that particular model of TV. You will need to access the on screen setup menu for the TV and then have it scan the channels. Make sure your DTV box is on and connected with the coaxial cable. If the "TV Input" button on your DTV remote works and you can get it onto the Video Channel, You can connect your DTV receiver with the RCA Cables (Red, White and Yellow) and get your picture that way. If you access the on screen menu, you will need to scan for Analog and Digital channels as the receiver transmits in Analog. hope this helps.

I have the exact same problem, let me know what you find. This the 1st I've tried the DTV, has your DTV ever worked.

Your question is confusing. If you have cable, you don't need a DTV converter box.

If your cable company has switched to digital cable, they will provide you a box, and the cable should go from the wall into the box, then into your TV.

If you don't have cable but instead rely on an antenna, then the wire will go from the antenna into the DTV box, then from the DTV box into the back of the TV. If you're using a regular coaxial cable to go from the DTV box into the television, the TV should be set to channel 3. If you're using the red-yellow-white RCA wires between the DTV box and the television, the TV must be tuned to "Aux," "Line In," "Input Select," or whatever it's labeled on your particular set.

The only remote I was able to find that work all Ilo features is the GE universal remote #24914. The code is in the book that comes with the remote. I use this remote myself. This remote can be bought at Target for under $10.If you don't have satellite or cable you might need a digital antenna.

As far as I know, no regular universal remote will work with the mintek TV/DVD's.
I have heard that the "Kameleon" remote, from radioshack works with them.
I had the same problem, so I ordered a replacement original remote from ebay for $20. It was the RC-600 for mine (DTV-265 26" LCD/DVD)
