If the songs are DRM-protected, you will get this problem on most mp3 players. Your best bet is to get files that are in true mp3 format, because the songs that you have on there now are never going to work (even though they will play fine on your computer).
You could use an illegal program like Tunebite to convert your existing music to mp3 format, but I wouldn't reccomend it.

Here is the info from Sony:
Is it possible to drag and drop music from the Apple® iTunes® software to the portable player using the Content Transfer Application?
Solution
Yes, if you have iTunes software installed, you can transfer music and playlists from iTunes software to the Walkman® player by dragging and then dropping the files to the Content Transfer application.
NOTES:

How many songs it can hold all depends on the size of the songs. You can downsize the song in windows media player by changing the quality. I have not been able to tell a big difference in the quality of the songs.

Yes. You have to have an active account to keep listening to those songs. On another note (no pun intended) anything that you OWN in your music files will play for you.
I quit the subscription from Best Buy, deleted the songs I didn't own and now I am satisfied.

If the KIX sometimes puts songs on in some random order, how do I fix it? Shuffle is NOT on.
