Hi. I cannot figure out where the ac power goes into my Brookstone Wafer-thin cd system (2005) there is no where on the system to insert the power cord.

From set up manual Setting up the system takes no time at all. Connect the subwoofer to the main unit with the provided cable. The NXT speakers connect directly to the subwoofer with color-coded cables for left and right. An FM antenna is included and can be connected easily to the rear of the unit (the AM antenna is built in.) Finally, the subwoofer gets plugged into the wall for AC power and the unit can be powered up. If this takes you more than 5 minutes, call your Dad and ask for help, you're probably over-thinking it. There is no setup in terms of volume or bass management configuration as the sub handles all crossover functions as well as volume balancing between itself and the NXT speakers. You can get a copy from manufacturer or online search

How do I hook up the sub woofer to my home stereo system

You don't say what make or type either of the appliances are, so I can only answer in general terms.
First look at the back of your stereo system and see if there is a dedicated subwoofer output. If there is you should be able to find the correct lead between the two units by looking at both the connections. If the subwoofer is a powered one. IE with a mains plug on it, you have to plug it into the mains before it will work at all. The connection points also then need to be hooked up to the amp. If it's not a powered subwoofer then your main left and right channels speaker wires need to be split into using the subwoofer terminals provided. Another set of terminals on the sub, then lead to the main speakers.
Lastly if it has a dedicated subwoofer output, then the amp might have a setting that turns this on or off. So you might need to switch it on.

Bought the wafr stereo system, came without the 9 pin male to 9 pin male subwoofer cable. Called the Brookstone outlet I bought it at and they are mailing me one. Cable is actually power and audio combined, specialty cable, you probably can't find one in any standard outlet

I HAVE A 1994 BUICK GRAND SPORT. I WANT TO HOOK A STERIO UP BUT THE STERIO THAT CAME WITH THE BUICK HAS A DOUBLE COMMPONET SET UP . HOW DO I BYPASS THAT AND HOOK UP THE CD PLAYER TO THE SPEAKERS?

1) Understand the basics of all car stereo systems. A car stereo system consists of 4 main components and the wiring that connects them. These are the head unit, the main speakers, optional amplifiers and the subwoofers, which are also optional but generally considered a necessary part of any good system. 2) Know that the core of any car stereo is the head unit, which is the cassette or CD player that goes in the dash. All the other components are connected to the head unit by at least one pair of wires. 3) Know about car speakers. The main speakers are usually 2 in the front and 2 in the back, although with what are known as component speakers, each speaker is broken down into two speakers: one for the highs and one for the bass. Each speaker or speaker set (known as a channel) connects to the head unit via a pair of wires. Generally if you are installing a new head unit you want to install new speakers. 4) Know about amplifiers. Amplifiers provide extra power to your speakers and/or extra channels of power for additional speakers. The most common use for an amplifier (amp) is to power subwoofers. The amp connects to your head unit via an RCA cable and often a "remote on" wire, and also connects directly to your car battery through a fused "hot" wire and to the car's chassis with a short ground wire. This article assumes the use of a single amplifier connected to a pair of subwoofers. If you do not have these components simply ignore the steps specific to the amp, doing so will not affect the rest of your installation. 5) Know about subwoofers. Subwoofers are part of any good stereo system. They provide the deep bass that small speakers cannot achieve. Subwoofers are connected to the amplifier which can usually be mounted right to the subwoofer box. If you do not have subwoofers you can simply ignore the steps specific to them. Subwoofer istalation into a clarion DXZ375MP stereo

The DXZ375 has two sets of RCA outputs (1 red plug, 1 white plug) located on the back of the unit. The set with the white main wire is for a front amplifier, and the one with the black main wire is the rear. You want the black one.

I'm assuming you also have an amplifier for your subs and the necessary wiring. You will need to run a 12v+ from the battery to the amplifier, splice a power-on signal wire from the ACC Power wire on the stereo's wiring harness (red wire) as well as connect the amp to the stereo via the RCA outputs.

I have a jvc home stereo model number CA-HXC6 i have had it for a few years its on protect mode and i cant get it off dont know how it cuts off

Turn off power, unplugg unit, very carefully check speaker wire connections making sure no wires are touching each other or the back of the unit same at speakers connections. Also check speakers. Blown drivers can short terminals internally. This is the most likely problem. Remove the short, unit will come back on

Brookstone Wireless Outdoor Speaker with Bose 123 System Problem

AUX usually refers to an INPUT, such as a CD player, etc. No signal comes out of a standard AUX jack, unless it specifically says "Aux speaker output". Instead, look for another speaker output jack, such as remote speaker, B speakers, etc. You may only have one set of speaker output jacks, in which case you would need to connect your wireless speaker to the speaker output jacks along with your main speakers, or buy a little speaker selector switch box to switch between main and wireless speakers. There's usually no harm in connecting more than one speaker set to the same outputs, though it is technically not recommended. In the real world, just don't crank it too loud and you'll be fine. The wireless speaker MIGHT run off of a standard line output also, if the wireless speaker has its own power amplifier.
