40hp 1987 yamaha outboard 2 stroke motor will run for 30-60 seconds at full throttle before sputtering then stalling out. I have replaced the main fuel line from tank to motor but problem persists. The motor starts fine and no problems while idle or even 50% throttle.

Sound like the fuel pump is not keeping up with the engine's demand. Check it out. Good luck. Hope this helps.

My 92' evinrude 40hp outboard motor will not run more than half speed even though i have it at full throttle whats wrong?

If not might be powerhead bearing.When heated up or wound bearing will slip and cause spark issues.....

i have a 30 hp 1996 tahatsu 2 stroke electric start that is not charging the battery. It starts fine when battery is charged or you use pull start.
