Hey man, I had the same problem a few weeks ago, but not anymore! What's wrong is that a cable inside has become unattached, this cable controls the front buttons. What I did was open up the top of my PS2 and check the cable,(it should look like a strip of paper) if it is unattached then you have some work to do. Flip the Ps2 over and open the bottom up. You should see the motherboard and lots of other stuff. Ignore it. What you want is a small port on the side of the front buttons cleverly hidden under a metal box thingy. Plug the end of the cable in to the port. On my Ps2 it din not stay in, so I had the Ps2 on and wiggled the cable until both front lights light up. Then you need to fasten the cable down in the right position. I used Scotch tape, but you can use whatever you want, just as long as it holds it down IN A POSITION WHERE ALL LIGHTS LIGHT UP! If this does not work, then I got nothing, hope this helps! Here is a you tube video that might help!

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

Cannot turn on my laptop only the start button light turns on but no screen display and a few noises help

This is only the first of many things you may need to do to determine the fault. But it is a process for determining the exact cause.

Make sure the ac adapter is correctly plugged into the notebook and into the power cord.

If everything is plugged in correctly and it still will not power on, follow these steps to complete a 'power reset' of the notebook.

  1. Unplug the ac adapter. Keep ac adapter unplugged.
  2. Remove the battery and keep the battery unplugged.
  3. Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds. (Nothing will appear on the display and none of the lights will light up.)
  4. Release the power button and plug in the ac adapter ONLY. (Please note that a power indicator light should be lit on the ac adapter when it is plugged in).
  5. Normally power on the notebook.
  6. If the unit does not power on, remove the ac adapter and insert the battery into the system.
  7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.
If the battery charging indicator light does not light up, the ac adapter may not be providing proper power to the unit, and may need to be replaced.

When i turn on my ps2(slim) i cant see or hear eny on the TV way is the happing plz help me

Check your A/V cable connections. They are the Yellow (Video), White (Left audio), and Red (Right audio)wires coming from the back of your PS2 to the connectors on your TV. Be sure they are plugged in and they have a tight connection. Also, be sure they are plugged into the appropriate jacks. They jacks are usually color-coded to match the connector type. Then check to make sure the plug that connects to the back of your console is in the correct port and is snug as well. A loose connection anywhere will prevent anything from coming up, the PS2 was infamous for that.

Aside from issues with A/V, be sure your TV is on and tuned to the correct source. If your PS2 plugs into an RF switch which plugs into the coaxial (cable) port on the back of your TV, the channel should match what the RF adapter is set to before turning on the console. If the PS2 is plugged into your TV through the A/V cables (The yellow, white, and red connectors we discussed earlier), make sure your TV is set to the proper source. The source channels could either be labeled "Video 1," "Video 2," or "Video 3," depending on your configuration. Also, the source could also be labeled "Game."

If none of the two solutions above work, then it appears your PS2 has bitten the dust. Best thing to do is give it a nice tombstone with a beautiful eulogy to make even the most battle-hardened tough guys cry like a baby

I need a printable version of how to hook everything up. Please. We have a PlayStaion2

  1. Place your ps2 in an area that will allow for plenty of airflow, and is relatively close to the television that you intend on hooking it up to.
  2. Step 2 Check your TV or monitor for available video inputs. The most common are composite cords, which come with a new PS2. This cord has one plug on one side, with the other side having three ends colored yellow, white and red.
  3. Step 3 Plug the single end of the video cord into the back of the PS2. Plug the other side of the cord into the corresponding colors in your video input on your television.
  4. Step 4 Plug the AC adapter (power cord), into the back of the PS2. The other side of the cord should then be plugged into the wall. A red right will appear on the front of the PS2, signaling that it is on standby mode, and receiving the required power.

The on/off switch won't turn on. i have power on (red light) switch clicks but no green light. i have taken lid off and white button seams on work but still no green light. i have even held down little...

This is one of three things. Unfortunately, it's difficult to determine which, unless you start replacing parts.

1. Bad switch. The switch doesn't usually go bad by itself, has the PS2 been dropped? Bumped? Anyone push the switch too hard? It's held in by solder on all 4 corners. If the solder becomes dislodged, the switch can fail.

2. Bad cable. This is rare unless someone opened the PS2 and removed/installed the cable a few times and frayed the internal wires.

3. Bad motherboard. Sometimes a power problem can develop, or the motherboard can short out. It's pretty rare, but I have seen it happen.

4. Bad AC adapter. Recent power surge? It's possible that the AC adapter is delivering enough voltage to power the standby light, but not enough to power the actual system on. You can easily check this by plugged your PS2 up on someone else's AC adapter or taking your AC adapter to someone else's PS2.

  7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.
If the battery charging indicator light does not light up, the ac adapter may not be providing proper power to the unit, and may need to be replaced.
  8. If its not the batery or AC adapter you might have to send it to Texas, just go to www.Acer.com

PS2 screen won't show on tv set to game

try to trouble shoot if the wire is the problem, how? remove the 3 colored wires from the tv and ps2 then try to use the red color instead of yellow to the video from tv and ps2 (both red) temporarily do not use the yellow color. once a picture appears use now the white for the audio (both white) for left audio once there is a sound you may try the yellow for the right audio. i hope this will help you and hear a positve reply from you.
