Question about RCA Lyra RD2762 MP3 Player
When I turned on the mp3 player it says file system corrupted
When I turned on RCA mp3 player it says file system corrupted..
AND I am not able to connect with my computer because it does not shown me any device to found in my computer.....

I had this problem that said ( file system corrupted ) and I fixed it by taking it apart and found that the ribbin cable was loose from the hard drive to the mother board, pust it back in and i was back in business with no loss of music.

I had same issue and found a law office that filed a class action against RCA/Thompson. Here is the result:

HOLD DOWN THE JOYSTICK AND CONNECT THE USB TO PC
THE TURNS IT TO REMOVABLE DRIVE . FORMAT IT AND PUT SOME MP3 FILES ON IT

I had the same problem and read this solution elsewhere:
When turning on, hold down the joystick button while turning on the unit and it resets itself. About once a week mine does the File System Corrupted notice, and I just turn it off, and restart it with the joystick held down. Works for me.
I would like to replace my battery on mine...I only get about 3 hours with using earbuds, and less than an hour using external speakers.
Has anyone find a souce yet for the battery replacement?

I have a 4 gig rca and if you erase the entire drive on the player and download the firmware upgrade it will work just fine, and as for the battery i just hardwired a cell phone battery the the current one and it works ghettoriffic...lol look at any message board and you will see...
