1965 Moffat Electric Built-in oven - model #21K90. No manual and no information on any of the websites I've searched. There is power (oven light, warmer light, rotisserie, power rack), but clock and other settings won't allow the oven elements to heat up. I have tried many combinations, but nothing has worked. This happened a few years ago and then I touched one of the knobs and it worked, so I suspect the same thing has happened now. Is there a manual or someone who remembers these very old ovens and how they tick?

My father solved this one, those clocks were such a hassle, ours buzzed for days til he fixed it. It requires opening the control panel and bypassing the wiring that allows the clock to turn the oven on and off. Of course you lose this function. Is that the complete model number?

SOURCE: Old Magic Chef Gas Oven won't light

sounding like thermostat isn't working. If you could ohm out the t-stat should be closed when you call for heat. If that passes the test then only thing it could be is the gas valve.

SOURCE: Elements in convection oven won't heat

DO you have a model number for that. I'm almost sure it's a thermal fuse in the back of the oven. Usually they go out during or after cleaning but that would shut down both elements. If you have the model (usually by the inside door look all over and up in the cavity) Then if you go to this link

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?intcmp=xsite_Sears

It will show you a breakdown of the oven and where it is. If you give me the model I'll show you what I'm talking about. Good luck.

P.S. if it the fuse it's a cheap fix, little hard to get in back of the oven but cheap!

Try unplugging the oven and let sit for 10 min. This will reset the curcuit board and reboot the electronics. You may have to pull out the stove o get to the cord.

We bought a maytag electric over built in type, and not to sure if it is a 110 or 220 amps / volts also need information to hook it in

Open the door and look inside near the base of the door. It will say the voltage. Ours is 110. You can go to the maytag website to get an owners manual and installation manual for free.
