SOURCE: where is the location of cmos battery on dell 2650.
pulling the battery will not help it is hard coded in CMOS you need to send it in or take it to a service center that can re flash it for you i do not suggest you re flash BIOS on your own because that could cause a bigger problem
SOURCE: reset my laptop user password
Go to safe mode to reset it?
star the PC and press F8 then go to :Administrator
then enter “net user "your user ID" 1234 /add”, then your user ID password is 1234.
or take a look at http://www.laptops-battery.co.uk/blog/hacking-ibm-thinkpad-bios-password
I think Hack Dell inspiron 1501 password is the same as the IBM.
SOURCE: dell inspiron 5150 laptop, reset admin. password.
Restart your laptop and keep tapping F8 key the moment you see something on the screen. You will get a black screen with some options written in white. Select the option Safe mode and then you can create a new user with admin rights. Or else at the windows login screen press and hold ctrl and alt key and tap delete key twice and then it will take you to a login screen. Dont put any password there just hit enter. And you will be able to login with admin rights.

SOURCE: how to remove a cmos battery is a dell inspiron
The CMOS battery is located underneath the keyboard of your Dell i5100.
If you're up to it, then try these simple steps:
- Open the lid to a 180 degree angle and using a very small Flat Screwdriver, pry the hinge cover on the right side. There's a small notch where you can pry it out.
- Check if the keyboard is being held by 2 screws. To loosen them, remove the battery and unscrew them from inside the battery bay.
- Carefully lift the keyboard in an angled position and check the ribbon or contact tape that connects the keyboard to the motherboard. Flip the keyboard towards you and see if you can reach the CMOS battery (usually covered by a blue plastic shield or protective cover. There's a pair of wire coming from it and the end is a small connector. You may remove the connector attached to the motherboard carefully to get the CMOS battery.
