Temporary error: 14

That's a temporary error as far as I can tell. Temporary errors can be caused by browsers that are not supported by Yahoo! Mail. Please ensure that you are using one of the following browsers and operating systems:

Windows XP, Vista, and 7:
  • Internet Explorer 8.0 and newer
  • Firefox version 3.5 and newer
  • Safari version 4.0 and newer
  • Google Chrome version 5 and newer
Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6:
  • Firefox version 3.5 and newer
  • Safari version 4.0 and newer
  • Google Chrome version 5 and newer

you can try these troubleshooting steps:
  1. Refresh your browser and retry accessing your Yahoo! Mail account. If this does not work, please proceed to next step.
  2. Log out of your Yahoo! Mail.
  3. Clear your internet browser's cache and cookies.
  4. Close or disable all other programs and browsers running Yahoo! Mail (for example, if you have your Mail open on your mobile phone, log out there.)
  5. Close and restart your web browser.
  6. Log on to your Yahoo! Mail.

Hi, Since last night, I'm unable to open my Yahoo mail. After I enter the user ID & Pass word, a page comes up as follows : Welcome to Yahoo! Mail Yahoo! Mail is now even faster, safer, and...

This problem may be related to an abundance of your Internet browsers temporary files. As a first step I would go ahead and clear your browser cache and temporary internet files. You can follow instructions from Microsoft here:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Delete-temporary-Internet-files

You may also want to run a 3rd party utility such as CleanUp!, there are many programs like this on the Net:

After you have cleared your temporary files, reboot your comptuer and try again.

Ooops. Yahoo! Mail can't load

This is most likely a minor browser malfunction. The simplest fix is to "clear your temporary files" on that browser. A test is to open a completely difference browser (say you normally use Opera, then open Internet Explorer and see if it works there). If it does, then the problem is in your browser.

Anyway, to clear the temporary files that are involved in a malfunctioning website, you need to go to another website that is "ok" and then follow the instructions in your browsers help file for clearing its temporary files.
