SAMSUNG RS21DCNS i have a samsung rs21dcns and the fan inside the fridge keeps freezing up. i have removed it to defrost and 2 weeks later it done the same thing and is very loud. any ideas. cheers.RB ice build up around the fan is a real problem on my rs21,maybe it's down to poor design - i havn't been able to isolate the cause yet - just keep defrosting it every 6 weeks or so

you either have a kinked water line, or a frozen one. There is a possibility that the solenoid isn't working.

Sounds like you have the freezer temperature set too low.

0845 726 7864 samsung know of this problem and are doing free fixes to all of them just phone the number it doesnt matter about the warranty as they have extended them all free to 5 yrs.

There are numerous problems including noisy fan that stops when doors open to no water and all are free to fix.

Water tank in bottom of fridge can freeze up if thermostat gives up. First water will stop coming out, then ice starts building up, then fan starts making noise as it brushes against ice, then fan fails, then fridge warms up  ---- all a well know scenario with this fridge. I wonder if this is the problem you have ?
Apparently Samsung are now recognizing this as a design fault and extending unit guarantee. Ring them on: 0870 726 7864  and see what happens...

To my knowledge there is only one evaporator in this model from what I read. Maybe someone else that is more knowledgeable on this can jump in here and give you an answer.

how do we disconnect the water line to the freazer

The middle part of my refrigrator (RS21DCNS) is full of ice. i have removed ice many times. could you tell me whats the reason and solution of this?

Some refrigerators run  the defrost themostate... 

 IF  d. thermostate bad of some frigs fan motor will not run ..

check thermostate for continuity . frig has to be at 20 to 30 degrees to check.. got to be certain temp to close themostate

 

can cut wires and splice to ..by pass thermostat to check

press for diagnose the power freece and power cool, you will get an information about the self diagnosis. you can call samsung and will get a clue what is going on. maybe the heating is not working well.
