Sound is just static

Don't understand why, perhaps rca contracted microsoft for their programming, but when I unplugged the TV and it rebooted, everything is fine. I still am concerned about the warning on the back.

No picture

Sounds like it could be the entire light engine.  The part is available on the Internet, but it runs $700 - $1200 without the lamp (although it sounds like you could use your existing lamp without a problem). These parts, however, are notoriously hard to find and may be backordered for months.

May not be worth the cost, but that's up to you.

Hitachi 51" projection tv has sound but no picture...help!

i founfd this, it could be the problem. Symptom: NO VIDEO Cause: Found L306 was open. B+ to pins 21,22 of PFC2 at the FC. find L306, will be hard to find with all the boards, but L306 is a coil. if you can find it use a multimeter to see if it's open. 450 sound slightly high but if you have a service call or pickup & delivery it might be right. hopefully you find the coil bad. good luck.
