If your remote serves multiple units, make sure it's in the right mode for your TV. (not dvr, dvd player, tuner, other source...). If the TV will not turn on manually (with the power switch on the TV), then make sure it's plugged in and there is power at the plug (try a different power source). If your remote has been out of battery power, sometimes it needs to be reset / reloaded with the correct code for your TV. Check your remote and / or your TV manual for the procedure.
What probably happened is the Input mode was reset. Using the TV remote (not the cable or dish remote) look for a Input button or Source button. With the TV on (the screen may be black but you should see a small power light) use the Input or Source button on the remote to select the TV's source (ie cable, component, HDMI etc).
Very good TV. Since this is LCD there's not much that goes wrong with them except their internal power source. You will have to get it serviced. It is not something you can do without the expertise.
If you replaced the batteries and can turn on the TV manually, then the button is probably not making proper contact with the remote. Try opening up the remote and placing a small piece of tin foil where the power button is, close the remote up and it should work.
The clicking noise is caused by the relays on the power supply board trying to power up the system. Your TV has detected a problem that's causing the power supply to shutdown. Someone knowledgeable in electronics can track down the problem. The SOURCE of the problem could be another board other the power supply.
the problem is in your power supply there are small caps electrolityc capacitor that may be dry if you have esr meter check them and replace is around voltage regulator check for 25mfd at 200 volts or 4.7 mfd ..
