MY coputer says I have a Dimage Scan Dual IV Sharing Error. library error: "4
I JUST SOLVED THIS PROBLEM! These people are right you do have to reinstall the software but it was much more complicated. Using spotlight, which is the the little magnifying glass in the upper most right hand corner of your screen you have to search for and delete a bunch of things that are not in the folder in applications but in documents instead. Anyway, I searched the words "Dimage", "dual", "Konica", "Minolta", "scan" and "idh". The idh things are some kind of plug-ins (I think). I warn you, all of these words brought up random stuff that should not be deleted (mostly images but also some documents) . Be careful, when I typed in the word "scan" over 600 items came up and it was hard to separate what was photoshop related and what was scanner related. Once you get rid of every file related to the scanner, restart your computer. Then reload the software and restart your computer again. After this the scanner should fire right up and the light will stop blinking. I was able to scan a tray of slides and a strip of negs too. One more thing. Don't forget to "dump your trash" before you restart your computer for the fist time Even things in the trash will stop it from opening. If it doesn't work you probably just missed a file somewhere.
You must be working with a MAC OS. The extension that is needed (MCM library and launcher)in the OS might have corrupted. You will need to delete that entire folder and install all the software one more time. If you still get the error try loading with no other extensions, just the ones needed for the scanner. If it works you can save that startup and use that to load when you want to use the scanner.
Pls try with reinstalling the driver software. bye
