Hi Anthony,

Is the UPS plugged in? Are there any lit LEDs on the front of the UPS? Did you replace the batteries in while the UPS was plugged in? Make sure that the battery you placed into the UPS is a good battery.

Hope this helps. If you would like more assistance please give me a call: 407.380.9200.

Inspiron 531s will not boot up, keeps beeping, saying it is in power save mode. How do I fix the problem

System Beep Codes The Inspironâ„¢ 531 / 531s system can emit a series of beeps during start-up if the display cannot show errors or problems. These series of beeps, called beep codes, identify various problems. One possible beep code consists of repetitive three short beeps. This beep code indicates the computer encountered a possible system board failure.
The series of beeps has a 3-second delay before it repeats. The series and delays continually loop until you press the power button.
Code Description Suggested Remedy 1 BIOS ROM checksum in progress or failure System board failure; covers BIOS corruption or ROM error 2 No memory modules detected
  1. If you have two or more memory modules installed, remove the modules, reinstall one module, and then restart the computer. If the computer starts normally, reinstall an additional module. Continue until you have identified a faulty module or reinstalled all modules without error.
  2. If available, install a good memory module of the same type into the computer.
  3. If the problem persists, contact Dell.
3 Chipset error (North and Southbridge chipset, DMA/IMR/Timer Error for Intel® platform); chipset error System board failure. Power LED is blinking amber. Time-Of-Day Clock test failure Gate A20 failure Super I/O chip failure Keyboard controller test failure 4 RAM read/write failure
  1. Ensure no special memory module/memory connector placement requirements exist.
  2. Verify the memory modules you are installing are compatible with the computer.
  3. If the problem persists, contact Dell.
5 Real time clock failure. Possible battery failure or system board failure.
  1. Replace the battery.
  2. If the problem persists, contact Dell.
6 Video BIOS test failure Video card failure 7 CPU cache test failure Processor failure

My unit started beeping continually, I changed batteries, but

  • Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
  • Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
I contacted customer support... they tell me the FAQ information on their own website is incorrect. The opposite is true, therefore the following is correct:
  • If it does not beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced
  • If the unit continues to beep, the keypad needs to be replaced
Here in Canada, they will send you a new one within 3-5 days free of charge. Call customer support:

Getting red light and continuously beep sound to my UPS(Frontech)

hi

If it is showing the red light and continuous beep it shows that the battery is completely gone.

You can buy a battery and replace it by yourself.

Or get it to a professional to change the battery.

you need not replace the whole UPS its just a battery problem.

Thank you

Simon 3 "System Low Battery" after 3 years use

I install these panels.  For the low battery message to clear you need to power the system down completely.  To do this you need to unplug the battery and also unplug the transformer plugged into an electrical outlet.  When you power the system back up, you need to first plug in the battery leads.  Then the transformer.
