Question about Creative Labs Creative Technology Zen MP3 Player

My zen mosaic is not downloading songs

So I just got a new zen mosaic lx this week and I downloading all the things needed for it (creative centrale and all the other sutff it came with). I put over 100 songs on it using Windows Media Player. Everytime I go to creative centrale or to my windows media player it says I have all the songs there but when I unplug the mp3 player from the computer it says I only have 2 of the 100+ songs there. This is really starting to get on my nerves and I am about to just bring the thing back. Please someone help me!!!

You may be looking at the library on your computer. In Centrale with the player connected, double click on the Mosaic player icon at the bottom of the list on the left of the screen. This brings up a contents list identical to that above(which is for the PC not the player)

Important Tool
Software application "Creative Centrale"
This software can be used for:
1. Ripping audio CD's: transferring from audio into mp3.
2. Making playlists.
3. Edit tag properties like Artist; Album; Genre; Year.

A User's Guide is hidden in the Zen MX Starter Pack 1.14.03, called Creative Centrale.
This download ZENMX_PCApp_E6_1_14_03.exe is about 15 MB sized.
The execute file can be started after download and will install Creative Centrale: The User's Guide can be accessed selecting the question mark in the top of Creative Centrale.

Creative zen mosaic fails to be detected on my computer

First I think the your player does not work with Vista, probably that's why its not seeing it. The installation CD is supposed to carry the required software for converting preferred songs to the player's desired formats and it also should contain the desired drivers for windows.

About adding songs to ZEN Mosaic

The first one is a DRM error and should be solved by the FairUse4WM which you can download for free from the following link.:
http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm
This will rip the DRM off the tracks and you should be able to listen to the without problem.

The other problem could be caused by codec differences. With GSpot you can check what codec was used to create the mp3s /both the working ones and the others/. If different codecs appear than you just have to reconvert the non working ones using the codec which workes.

did it come with software
do a google on your model and download the convert software
it probally has the format as cell phone videos but yours is probally easier.. you could just try a usb cable and port over to the folder where the videos and music is on,

The video needs to be converted to the format that the screen can handle. You need to use the software that Creative provides for this purpose

I think alot of people are having the same problem I was. We got home, opened the box, plugged it in the computer, and nothing useful happened so then we installed the mini-cd. Well the thing is windows stops looking for a driver once it searches and finds nothing, and unfortunately those of us using XP do not automatically have the drivers. So...

SOLUTION
------------------
-If you have not already installed the mini-cd, do so, or download from Creative's site in the support section(if you do you might want to grab the latest firmware update)
-Once pack has been installed the drivers have been as well, BUT as I mentioned we now have to tell windows to look for them again.
-Reconnect your Mosaic
-Right click "My Computer"
-Chose "Properties"
-Click the "Hardware" tab
-Click "Device Manager"
-A window will pop up and you will see a long list with (hopefully only) one thing under the "Other Devices" sublist. It should be something along the lines of "Creative Zen Mosaic". Right click it
-Chose "Update Drivers"
-Follow prompts agreeing to search and auto install
-Once install is done, in a moment the screen on your Mosaic will say "Docked"
-Congratulations!
If you have downloaded the updated firmware this is the time to install:
-Ensure your Mosaic is in "Docked" mode
-Execute the firmware update
-Click "Upgrade"
-Wait (it takes a moment or two)
-Updater will say it is complete
-Mosaic will reboot
-Click "Close"
-Congratulations!

Creative Zen 8g Hangs up and won't reset

I also had the same problem last week where my Zen was stuck on one song. I tried resetting it umpteen times, but it always went back to that song. I connected to the computer and went under
the Creative Zen application and had to format my whole Zen. I lost everything I had, but it was unstuck and I just downloaded everything again except that song. No trouble since then. Hope this helps.
