Question about AEG 23 in. 67600KF-N Electric Cooktop
The hob is touch activated. I was cooking on a high temperature on two hobs and it went off. This can happen occasionally if there is water on the hob near the controls. Now i can not start it again - no lights, no start-up beep. i have checked both the accessible (mains ) fuses, they are OK. Is there an internal fuse or a way to re-start, or is it dead?
I take it the two fuses you mention were the house fusebox and the fuse in the outlet in your kitchen? If you know the mains is getting to the hob and nothing at all is lighting up on the panel then this sounds like a job for the professionals. I can't find any mention of a reset button or user acessable fuse in the manual. The only thing left to do is check the main wire connection underneath the hob - if it is accessable. (switch off at the wall first!) Assuming you are in the UK Service force telephone number is 08705 929 929 Hope this helps.

Switching off the childproof lock
1. Press the ON key.
2. Then immediately press the Plus key of the cooking zone at the left-back and the Minus key of the cooking zone at the right-back simultaneously.
3. Then press the Minus key in order to deactivate the childproof lock. The "L" will go off.
If this doesn't work or you have a different model, please post back and I will let you know the correct deactivation method for your model.
Hope this helps.
