My washer is not draining and has slowly filled with water

My Kenmore Elite Front-loader has not completely drained the last 3 loads I've done. Just a bit of water left in the tub. However, I opened it today to put in a load and the tub is almost full of water. Seems like it's slowly filling up even though I'm not doing any laundry.

What should I do?

Im not an expert but it might be a leak or somethings backing up or there could be a blockedge in the drain.

F02 Error Code on Kenmore Elite HE 3T front load washer. Cleaned filer. Pump not blocked. Drain hose coming out of back of washer clean. Even held hose to drain in utility sink to make sure eliminate...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Based on your information posted I understand you have the Kenmore HE3t washer, correct ?

Reading your description and factoring in all you've done and inspected, it may in fact be a faulty pump...(the F02 ultimate worse case) even if it is draining slowly it does not rule it out, trust me I've seen many of them.

By reading your post I've gathered you are pretty thorough so I don't expect you missed it, but I must mention it or I wouldn't be thorough either, I think you can appreciate that, have you checked the back-flow/check ball ?

If not, here's how...

Pull the boot off if you have not and just see if anything has got in there to obstruct the "ball" from working correctly. It is shown here...(this is from the back, but you can do it from the front...just not as easily...in my opinion)

Undo the clamp and inspect inside...if you have not already.

It's amazing how often I find this ball "stuck" or the bellows clogged with debris of all sorts of items...definately worth looking into before declaring the pump has failed. Good luck. Let me know how you make out as I said and if I can help you in any manner going forward I will do whatever I can.

I've also included a more thorough link of my repair tip below

I have a kenmore elite he 3 front load washer...im getting f error 02. it runs fine until the end of the cycle will not drain or spin.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Not getting clothes clean

Check your drain hose for siphoning. this is a common problem, make sure only about 8 inches is sticking into the drain, and the drain line is higher then the mid point of the washer, ex: drain hose must not leave the washer and head directly to the floor, must make a loop upwards, then enter a drain appx. 3+ft high. Drain hose from washer not to enter drain plumbing more then 8".

Kenmore Elite HE3 washer keeps filling with water

The inlet valve will need to be replaced. Its a fairly simple procedure and a pretty inexpensive part.

Kenmore front loader

the drain pump on this unit has a clean out. There is probably debris in the pump. remove the lower front cabinets. There are three screws almost at floor level that hold it in place and open the drain pump it has a handle on the drain pump that you can twist to remove.

Kenmore Elite Fronloader Water Problem

the water inlet solenoid valve has debris stuck inside of it, thereby not allowing complete "off" mode. best to remove it and clean the water path thoroughly. valve is found by tracing the inlet water hose.
