Easynote tm01 Hi, My daughter spilt about half pint of water on her easynote. She carried on using it, and after about an hour it stopped working. She then told me - I removed keyboard, condensation underneath, also took base off, removed battery etc., and left it to dry out for over a day. I then connected power, power light displayed indicating receiving power but laptop does not start. I believe probably needs new motherboard, but thought would check with you? I see it is possible to purchase a new motherboard, how easy is it to install? Many Thanks Rich
When one of my kids forgot his phone out inth the snow i dismantled the whole thing and put the mothercard in the kitchen oven on the lowest temperature for about 1hour to extract all of the water i could'nt see. booted the thing up and it was good to go.(tip)
As for the other? it's cheaper to buy a new one than to install a new motherboard.

if you go to the control panel, to hardware, in the keyboard section you should be able to uninstall the internal keyboards driver which will stop it working.

Try to reset CMOS sometimes BIOS saves incorrect parameter (especially when overclocking) It must have 3v clockstyle battery into motherboard. If you arent familiar to disassambling and then assambling laptops it will be better do this someone experienced. Take it off 10 minutes to reset CMOS and then return back. Take off ram clean its gilden pins vith dry clothes or naplin and put back.

I recommend reinstalling Windows using the original recovery media from Asus. That should have all of the original drivers and software needed. You can alway upgrade to Windows 7 ultimate after that.
