Question about Mitsubishi WS-65903 65" Rear Projection Television

Open Question

Mitsubishi WS-65711 power-on problem

Pushing power-on button results in the Timer Light flashing but does not allow the screen to power up. I've turned the power source off-on trying to reset it, but same status. I tired the System Reset to see if that would clear it, but the Timer LED is still flashing like it thinks it should time-out. I waited a 120 (the max setting for the timer to see if that was preventing the screen from powering up .... but same results, the time lights keeps flashing. What should I try next ? Canoe Man

a local tech checked the TV and said the three color guns seem to have leaked onto the IC board. This is common problem with 4 year old Mist WS project TV's. Estimated repair of all three guns and failed IC's, testing of all IC's to be sure pending failures are checked and burn in test expected to be $ 700.00.

I was told the color guns contain glycerin to cool the guns, which expands when heated into an over fill area with a seal. The seals dry and fail 3-4 years on avg. Then the glycerin drips down on the IC boards below.

Does this sound correct based on your experience ?

A local tech checked the TV and said the three color guns seem to have leaked onto the IC board, causing the timer light to flash as a warning indicator. The flashing LED can not be reset because it is detecting a failure in the electronics in the IC rack right below the color guns. They say this is a common problem with 4 year old Mist WS project TV.

Try and push and hold the on button for about 3 sec. This will start a manual battery test. If only three of the five battery led illuminate allow the ups to recharge the batteries for 24 hours. Operation light flashes on three times and the timer light continuously flashes, the unit will not work

Please remove the power for few hours , push down all panel buttons to drain off residual voltage on the panel. It seems that the main processor has encountered an error due to many reasons and so it is best to start by resetting the processor.
If there is no result then the main output must be checked, the compressor, the pressure switch and the fan circuit must be checked. If there are errors in any of the motors the excessive load will not allow the motor to start but would show a trip as circuit break

I returned from vacation last night and noticed all four of my coach lights were off. I thought...the timer needs to be reprogrammed due to a power outage while I was away. The red indicator light was...

1) You performed correct troubleshoot steps down the line.
Last thing would be to install defect timer on another light circuit in house, and see if problem is the timer or wire going to coach lights.

2) EJ351C has 1 year limited warranty.
Buy new EJ351c and install single pole light switch until timer replacement is available.
Timer has easy 2-wire installation. Turn off power. Connect new timer just like old one was connected. Either timer black wire connects to either wire in switch box.

Hello,

there are basically two reasons why this is happening; 1. it's either the TV's timer is on accidentally or 2. your TV is having a power problem.

Check the timer settings on your TV and make sure it's set to off.

But if you've confirmed that problem is not from the timer, then it means the TV is having a power problem. The power board of the TV is dying gradually due to defectiveness of some of its component.

Have the timer checked first, then give me a feed back, so that I can give you some diagnoses on the power issue.

Yours sincerely.

Does the TEAC CD x60i with ipod capabilities include an alarm system that wake u up with music from the the ipod that u have pre select?

The unit doesn't have an alarm, but it does have a timer that allows you to set it turn on at a certain time and off at a certain time. Not exactly the same as an alarm clock.

Press the timer button until "timer" indicator and "on" appear in the display. Hour will flash. Press the skip button to change the hour then press the time button. Press skip to change the minutes, then timer button. You now change the off time the same way. The next push of the timer button has set the time. But, now use the skip button to select the source. Pressing the timer button this time will advance to the volume setting and again advance by the skip button. Timer is now set. Make sure your source is ready to play (station on tuner, CD has a disc or iPod is connected).

C500 Laptop won't come on power button just flashes

Have you tried attaching an external monitor when the LCD screen is disconnected from the motherboard? this connector is located under the keyboard strip – a piece of plastic just above the keyboard.
If it works, this way, then the video cable isn’t seated properly in the connector on the back of the screen. Plugging the video cable back in should fix the problem.
I don’t know how comfortable you are with taking apart laptops but I think that this information could be useful for you.

Timer light is flashing but tv wont turn on!

When the timer light stoped flashing the remote control would not turn on the TV. The next time the light quit flashing I held the power button in on the TV for about 5 seconds and it came on and has had no problems since then with the remote or the local TV power button.
