Maytag side by side refrigerator does not get cool

With these units the air is ducted from the freezser side to the refrigerator side but this is not happening due to the duct being blocked with ice. This happend about 6months ago and Mayag fixed it very quickly. The freezer side has frost at the back which is unusual since the unit has autodefrost.
My question is: is there an easy way to unblock the tube and can I do it or do I have to get maytag back.

The newest defrost feature in modern fridges is the electronic adaptive defrost control board. to put this adaptive defrost style of fridge into defrost, short with a small screwdriver between L1 and test on the adaptive defrost board, wait 3 seconds and you should hear a "click" noise from the relay and the fridge will shut off and go through a defrost cycle.

Freezer working fridge not

A refrigerator has one cooling unit and distributes cold air via fans and ducts. The freezer gets the bulk of the cooling and much less goes to the refrigerator box. If the freezer is cold your cooling unit is working, you must have either a bad fan or blockage between the cooling unit and the refrigerator box.

I have a bottom freezer french door mode. The

remove both crisper pans and check the return are duct opennings. next check if there's a built up frost/ice on the rear wall of the frzr. is you frzr fan blowing air? if so, there's a small window inside the refrig's freshfood side back wall towards the cieling, make sure that's open.the cover should snap off. if window/damper is open, go ahead an pour hot water down the return air ducts behind the crisper pans. they look like grill slots in one or both coners

MAYTAG REFRIDGERATOR NOT COOLING

Check to see if the evaporator fan is blowing. Sometimes removing the back panel to expose the fan and hand turning it can make it come back on. If this doesn't work then the fan is bad. Also make sure that there is good circulation to the fridge side. Food can sometimes block air flow.

Our refridgerator is not cooling well.

These units only have coils on the freezer side and just blow cold air to the other side through small ducts. These ducts have a tendency to ice up and block the airflow. Do a manual defrost for about two (2) hours and then plug it back in. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Refrigerator not cooling but freezer is

Something has stopped the cold air being ducted from freezer side to refrigerator side of things. Possibly duct blocked due to ice build up, evaporator not self defrosting etc. Turn unit off for a few days till it melts and then turn back on. If it was because a door has been left slightly open you will be ok. If for any other reason you will want to have it serviced in the next week or so.

Your condenser coil is frozen up with condensate...need to fix the defrost system, most likely it is the control sub module.
